Frequently Asked Questions
This email protection system uses advanced threat detection to analyze incoming messages for phishing, spam, and other email-based attacks. It flags suspicious content, like risky links or impersonation attempts, so you can make safer decisions before clicking.
These color-coded banners are added by your email security system to flag potential threats and show key details like the sender’s address and whether the message is internal or external. If you’re seeing them, we have enabled this protection for your account.
Gray (No issues detected):
The email didn’t show obvious warning signs. Still, take a second to confirm the sender address and whether it’s internal or external. If something doesn’t add up, trust your gut and verify.
Yellow (Use caution):
Something about the message looks unusual. It may not be dangerous, but it’s worth slowing down, especially if it asks for sensitive information, urgent action, or includes unexpected links or attachments.
Red (High risk):
The message appears suspicious and may be a phishing attempt. This can include impersonation emails, spoofed “internal” messages, or dangerous links. Don’t click anything, report it to your IT team.
Slow down and verify. Check the sender’s email address and make sure it matches who the message claims to be. Avoid clicking links or opening attachments until you’re confident the email is from someone you know.
Don’t click anything, no links or attachments. In most cases, delete the email (or report it to us). We auto-quarantine high-risk messages and deliver them with a red banner as a warning.
The Report This Email link lets you provide feedback on a message. Click it to open a short form where you can mark the email as Safe, Spam, or Phishing and add a comment. Your feedback helps improve future detections.
Our email security system checks links in real time. If a link looks suspicious or unsafe, you may be redirected to a warning page before the site opens. This can happen even if the email originally looked normal, because links can be flagged as risky after the message is delivered.
Contact us. We can review the message, adjust your email security settings if needed, and route feedback to the right support resource.
If you have questions or want a deeper explanation of how email threats are detected and handled, we can provide guidance and walk you through how this protection works.
